“Design Our 50th Aircraft” Livery Competition — Official Terms and Conditions
1. The Competition
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the flyadeal “Design Our 50th Aircraft” livery competition (the “Competition”). By entering, participants (“Entrants”) agree to be fully bound by these Terms. The Competition invites the public to submit original livery designs for flyadeal’s 50th aircraft. The winning design may be considered for application on the aircraft, subject to Section 7.
2. Competition Period
- Duration: The Competition is limited to the timeframe specified on flyadeal’s official social media channels (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia local time, GMT+3).
- Announcement: Winners will be announced on flyadeal’s official social media channels following the completion of the judging process.
3. Eligibility
- The Competition is open to participants of all nationalities worldwide.
- Any Entrant under the age of eighteen (18) must obtain the prior written consent of their parent or legal guardian, who must accept these Terms on the Entrant’s behalf and sign any documents required in connection with the entry, the prize, or the rights in the design. flyadeal may request evidence of such consent at any time.
- Exclusions: Members of the judging panel and any individuals directly involved in organizing, administering, or evaluating the Competition are not eligible to participate.
4. How to Enter
Entry is free of charge. To participate, Entrants must complete all of the following steps:
- Follow flyadeal’s official account on the relevant social media platform.
- Upload an original livery design via the official Competition microsite.
- Comment “💜✈️” under the official Competition announcement post.
Note: All requirements must be met for an entry to be deemed valid.
5. Design Requirements
- The design must be applied to the official digital aircraft model provided for the competition.
- Submissions must be the Entrant’s original work and must not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.
- Designs must not contain offensive, discriminatory, political, or inappropriate content, nor imitate existing airline liveries, logos, or copyrighted material.
- Flyadeal may request the original and editable files and any information or documentation it considers necessary to verify the originality of the design and how it was created.
6. Judging & Prize
- Judging Criteria: Entries will be evaluated by a flyadeal-appointed panel based on originality, visual appeal, brand relevance, and technical feasibility. The decision of the panel is final.
- Prize Details:
- Winners: Three (3) winners will be selected.
- Prize Package: A round-trip ticket for two (2) people to any flyadeal destination, including a hotel stay of 3 nights, subject to availability and travel within the period specified by flyadeal.
- Terms:
- Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash unless explicitly permitted. flyadeal reserves the right to substitute a prize with another of equal or greater value.
- Each winner is responsible for satisfying all travel requirements and for any costs not expressly included in the prize.
- Entitlement to the prize is subject to verification that the winner and their entry comply with these Terms and Conditions. If the winner does not respond within five (5) business days from the date flyadeal contacts them, or is found to have breached any of these Terms and Conditions, flyadeal may disqualify the winner and select an alternative winner.
7. Use of the Winning Design
- flyadeal reserves the right to adapt, modify, or adjust the winning design to meet regulatory, safety, engineering, or operational standards. Selection as a winner does not guarantee that the design will be applied to the aircraft in its original form, or at all.
- flyadeal retains sole discretion regarding whether to apply any winning design to the aircraft. If flyadeal chooses not to use a winning design on the aircraft, the winner will still receive the awarded prize.
8. Intellectual Property
- By submitting an entry, each Entrant grants flyadeal a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license, without additional compensation, to use, adapt, publish, and display the design for promotional, marketing, and operational purposes.
- Each winner shall sign a formal assignment transferring to flyadeal the economic rights in the design that are transferable under applicable law. Each Entrant warrants that they own all necessary rights in the submitted design and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
9. Disqualification & Publicity
- flyadeal may disqualify any entry that breaches these Terms, contains infringing/inappropriate content, or involves fraudulent activity.
- By entering, winners consent to flyadeal using their name, likeness, and design for publicity related to the Competition, without extra compensation unless agreed.
10. Privacy & Liability
- Personal data collected will be used only to administer the Competition and contact winners, per flyadeal's Privacy Policy.
- flyadeal is not liable for entries lost, delayed, or undelivered due to technical issues outside its reasonable control, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
11. General
flyadeal may amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition where necessary, with reasonable notice.
12. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction
These Terms, the Competition, and any dispute, claim, or non-contractual obligation arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably within fifteen (15) days from the date of written notice of the dispute. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine the dispute.
